Deutsche Bank Towers

Originally uploaded by Layla Keramat

This morning Frankfurt’s commuters were in for a surprise. Fire trucks and police cars gathered around the financial district to remove a banner posted approximately 140 meters up on the facade of the Deutsche Bank Towers.
The message reads “Wäre die Welt eine Bank, hättet ihr sie längst gerettet!”
signed: Greenpeace
(english: “If the world was a bank, you would have rescued it already!”)

The Soho Grand Hotel staircase on West Broadway offers opaque glass circles set into concrete with backlighting. The design blends in with the Soho neighborhood and the industrial architecture of the historic district.
